The Reason I Love Peru!

The beautiful  Plaza de Armas in the center of Cusco,Peru

The  children are friendly, and happy...

This little girl knits these little finger puppets, and then sells them in the Plaza.

It is very common to see siblings caring for family members....sometimes both are very young.
The beggars are very heart-wrenching....usually they are blind,
I love the mothers....they are very loving...isn't this mother sweet?
...and her baby boy was beautiful.

This lady was selling paintings....I thought that she was very pretty...and very sweet.

This little girl was my favorite....she was young...maybe not even 2.  I asked her mother if I could take her picture.  When I knelt down with the camera, she struck this adorable pose.  When I tried to give her a sol ...she pointed to her mother.

This is her mother.

Notice the cobble stone street, and the wall behind the beggar is original Inka construction...stones with no mortar.

I liked these three raggedy little brothers...their father was taking their picture...warm, friendly people.

Lady weaving and selling...
This is a very young baby, on his mother's back.  They are amazingly alert, and seem interested in everything around them...I just love to see them looking around.

This lady was sitting on a street corner, but I thought she had a certain dignity.
No wonder I hear "Gringo"....I didn't realize how obvious I am.

Two slides from JA's 27 slide presentation...

Among all the magnificent Archeological Landmarks that atract 1.5 Million international visitors annually, what is missing?....

Does not the Church have a Message for all those Visitors?... The Question Should not be IF a Visitor's Center is needed, but Where it should be placed?

Preferably adjacent to a beautifull new Temple

Baby stepping into Blogging....Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

I love your Blogs....even those whose last post is 10 months ago...you know who you are....and  I find emailing pictures difficult...remember the duplicate pig heads....so I am going to give this Blog one more try.....Miranda does hers all by herself (maybe you can help me Randi...?)

Last week on P-Day we took one of our first tourist trips.  A little over an hour from Cusco there is an awesome town...the only one that has been inhabited contunually by Inkas. .

We went with the other couple from our Mission, the Shellenburgs...a wonderful couple, who were Jane and Bruce's neighbors in Pleasant Grove..

This is just spectacular.  You can hike all over and see the unfinished Temple and beautiful views.

We are standing in a street right in the town...this road and walls were built by the Inkas...their workmanship is unbelievable.

Isn't thisa cute little stairway?  It is leading from a resaurant...I just thought that it was quaint.  There were flowers and butterflies...and a clean cat.

I tried to go back and add another sppectacular picture, but somehow I can't make it go....so this  really is a trial run.  But...love and greetings from Peru  (Pay-roo)
